App Configuration
General Information
Set the website URL, user-facing app name, launcher logo, and permanent platform identifier.
Before you start
- Final app name
- HTTPS website URL
- Square source logo
- Unique package or bundle identifier
Configure and verify
Verify the website address
Enter the complete HTTPS home URL with the correct www or non-www host. Test redirects and login in a mobile browser.
Set the app name
Use the label users should see in the launcher and app list. Keep it concise enough for small screens.
Upload the logo
Choose a clean square image with important artwork away from the edges. The Android worker creates density-specific launcher icons.
Confirm the identifier
Use a reverse-domain value such as com.company.app and do not change it after a store release.
Save and rebuild
Check the launcher mock, save, and create a new build. Existing APKs cannot receive native icon or identifier changes.
Logo guidance
- Use a high-resolution square PNG or JPEG.
- Avoid tiny text and transparent artwork that disappears on some launchers.
- Test on light and dark wallpapers.
Preview tools
The camera button downloads the launcher mock. Hide Preview removes the side preview without changing settings.
Test before release
- URL opens over HTTPS
- App name is final
- Logo is square and readable
- Identifier is unique and permanent
